LEVEL 2 ASP 4869 — AUSGRID + ENDEAVOUR ACCREDITED

Level 2 ASP Sydney. Here to help.

A switchboard that won't carry the new load, a defect notice from Ausgrid or Endeavour, or a service fuse pulled at the pole. Thorntek is the Level 2 ASP that upgrades the switchboard and the supply feeding it as one job — paperwork lodged by us, work certified, power back on inside a day on most jobs. Call 1300 58 58 16.

Level 2 ASP 4869 — Ausgrid + Endeavour accredited

Every network approval lodged by us

200A and greater connections

Sydney metro, Hills, Hawkesbury, Blue Mountains

One crew, street to switchboard

One crew from the conductor on the street to the energised switchboard. Every notice lodged with Ausgrid or Endeavour by us. Most domestic jobs are done in a single visit.

01

The paperwork only a Level 2 ASP can lodge

Any change to your power connection must be applied for, approved and signed off with Ausgrid or Endeavour Energy. That lodgement can only be done by a Level 2 ASP.

  • New supply and consumer mains upgrades
  • Metering position changes
  • Defect notice clearances
  • Disconnect and reconnect for building work

We complete the application, book the isolation, and lodge the certification before work starts.

Where each trigger lands across the Level 2 pages

Every job runs under the same Level 2 ASP 4869 accreditation, on one job number, with one crew.

Insurance renewals: what your insurer is actually asking for

Insurer flagging an aged ceramic-fuse or rewireable board with no RCD protection on renewal? It's happening across NSW. We do the upgrade under Level 2 ASP 4869, issue the CCEW (Certificate of Compliance Electrical Work) and the network clearance on completion, and that's the paperwork your insurer is asking for. Send the renewal letter through and we'll quote against the exact requirements.

03

What goes wrong when the switchboard and supply are split

We run the switchboard and the supply under one accreditation, so the whole job stays on one ticket:

  • Network notification and isolation
  • Live work and metering
  • Trench and surface reinstatement
  • Certification and close-out

One number, one crew, done in the right order.

Common questions.

How quickly can you respond to an urgent defect notice from Ausgrid or Endeavour?

Send the notice to connect@thorntek.com.au or ring 1300 58 58 16 and we'll assess inside the same week. The network application is lodged the next business day, the isolation slot is booked with the network operator, and the rectification is scheduled to land before the notice deadline. We clear the full range, from a single failed service fuse through to a full attachment and consumer mains rebuild after storm damage.

Do you provide the compliance paperwork my insurer is asking for?

Yes. On completion we issue the CCEW (Certificate of Compliance Electrical Work) covering the electrical install and the network clearance covering the Level 2 work. That's the pair of documents an insurer asks for when they flag an aged board on renewal. PDFs go to you and your broker the same day the job's recommissioned.

How long will my power actually be off?

For a standard consumer mains and board upgrade on a domestic property, the property is dark from when we isolate at the point of attachment in the morning to when power comes back in the afternoon — typically a single working day. Three-phase upgrades with a meter-position change can run into a second day on bigger commercial sites. Where it matters, we run a temporary supply so the building isn't dark all day. The approvals and network booking are ours to manage, not your timeline.

How do I know if my address is Ausgrid or Endeavour Energy?

Check your last electricity bill — the distributor (Ausgrid or Endeavour Energy) is named separately from your retailer (AGL, Origin, Red, etc.). If you can't find it, text us your address on 1300 58 58 16 and we'll tell you in 30 seconds. Either way, Thorntek is accredited to both networks, so it doesn't change who you call.

What does a typical switchboard and consumer mains upgrade cost?

Pricing ranges with the existing board condition, mains length and route, the network approvals needed and whether the meter position changes. Rather than publish a wrong number, send a photo of the meter box exterior (cover stays on, never open it yourself) plus your address to 1300 58 58 16 or connect@thorntek.com.au and we'll price it inside 24 hours against the actual job, not a guess.

What is a Level 2 ASP and what can you legally do?

A Level 2 Accredited Service Provider is accredited by Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy to do the network-side connection work between the street and your switchboard. That includes disconnecting and reconnecting at the point of attachment, replacing service fuses and aerial cables, installing or replacing the attachment bracket, pulling new consumer mains, fitting standard electricity meters, sinking private power poles, and lodging every notice, application and closeout document the networks require. A standard A-grade electrician can only work on the house side of your main switch.

Do you cover my area?

Sydney metro, The Hills, Hawkesbury, Blue Mountains — Ausgrid coverage across the CBD, Eastern Suburbs, Inner West, North Shore and Northern Beaches, plus Endeavour Energy coverage across the Hills, Penrith, Blacktown, Parramatta, Liverpool, Campbelltown, Hawkesbury and the Blue Mountains. We don't service Hunter, Central Coast or Illawarra.
